Posted May 28, 2026 - A ban is in affect for unincorporated areas of the county, including Mancos State Park. No wood burning campfires or open burning allowed. Charcoal and gas grilling are allowed. All fires must always be contained in designated fire rings or grills.
Calm water on Jackson Gulch Reservoir for canoes, kayaks and wakeless boats, framed by the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. Its 32 campsites and yurts make a base for Mesa Verde, the San Juan Skyway and Durango.
