About Lapham-Patterson House State Historic Site

A Victorian winter cottage built in 1884–85 for a Chicago shoe merchant, with fishscale shingles, inlaid longleaf pine floors and a double-flue chimney with a walk-through stairway. A National Historic Landmark since 1975.
