About Mormon Station State Historic Park

Nevada's first permanent non-native settlement, founded in 1851 as a trading post on the California Trail's Carson Route. A reconstruction of the post houses pioneer artefacts, and the 1856 Kinsey House stands on the same lawns in the town of Genoa.
