Trails close one hour before sunset, daily. Hikers are required to fill out a registration card at the trailhead. All trails regardless of difficulty rating are considered advanced hiking trails. Please exercise caution and have an emergency preparedness plan. Phone service is unavailable at the park. All official trails in The Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area are now open, excluding (#5) Bill Kimball. To see a current map of all official trails, click the Maps And Brochures link. Camping is by permit only. Campers must check in at the Ranger Station before proceeding to your campsite.
A deep mountain cove on the Middle Saluda, South Carolina's first state-designated scenic river, with trails to Rainbow Falls and Jones Gap Falls. Eighteen backcountry campsites and a trout pond on the site of the state's oldest fish hatchery.
