Starting in the fall of 2026, the Gee Creek Campground will undergo an infrastructure renovation, focusing on the bathhouse and other similar areas. This will close the campground until an anticipated reopening in spring 2027. We thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, please contact the park office.
Twenty-three miles of the Hiwassee, designated in 1968 as the first river in Tennessee's State Scenic River Program. Class III water makes it a step up for paddlers and rafters, with birding, fishing and camping along the bank.
