Lake Abilene Closures Oct. 20, 2025 - Due to the lake's low level: Boat ramps are closed; Kayak rentals are not available; Swimming and fishing are not allowed. The entire lake will be closed on the following dates: 10 p.m. on Nov. 30 to 3 p.m. Dec. 10 10 p.m. on Jan. 15 to 10 p.m. Jan. 31 10 p.m. on Feb. 4 to 3 p.m. Feb. 7 10 p.m. on Feb. 12 to 10 p.m. Feb. 28 Only permitted hunters will be allowed on these dates. Contact the park or check back for updates.
