VDOT is working on a section of Route 354 (River Road) from March until Sept. If you are travelling from Route 3 East (from Warsaw), proceed past the detour signs on Route 354 telling you to turn onto Route 622 (Morattico Road). Belle Isle Road will be the next right. If you are travelling on Route 3 West (from Kilmarnock), do not take Route 201 (White Chapel Road) at the flashing caution lights. Proceed through Lively and turn left onto Route 622 (Morattico Road). At the 4-way intersection of Routes 622 and 354, turn left. Belle Isle Road will be the next right.
Seven miles of Rappahannock River shoreline on the Northern Neck, where tidal wetlands run into farmland and upland forest. A campground, guest house, bridle trails and seasonal canoe and bike rentals make it easy to stay.
