About Powhatan Historic State Park

All seven of this river town's historic buildings still stand where they were built, on a hill above Black River steamboat traffic. The 1888 courthouse is free to enter, and guided tours take in the stone jail, the academy and the last toll bridge in Arkansas.

Wednesday-Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday 1 p.m.-5 p.m.

Closed Mondays and Tuesdays (except for Memorial Day, Labor Day and Fourth of July when required)

Closed New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
