About Dahlonega Gold Museum State Historic Site

Housed in the 1836 Lumpkin County Courthouse, one of Georgia's oldest, at the centre of America's first major gold rush. On show: a complete set of Dahlonega Mint coins, a five-ounce nugget and the hydraulic cannon that blasted the hillsides.
