A 1792 log fort built by settlers still stands in 1,816 acres between Atlanta and Athens, around a 260-acre lake. Lakeside yurts, cottages and campsites make it an easy overnight close to the city.
Pavilions and meeting rooms you can reserve for groups and events.
$10 per vehicle — $10 daily ParkPass per vehicle; annual passes available. Overnight guests pay it once per stay.
