About Kankakee River State Park The park wraps both banks of the Kankakee River for 11 miles across roughly 4,000 acres, on a river listed on the Federal Clean Streams Register. Smallmouth bass, walleye and northern pike bring the anglers; 200-plus campsites hold everyone else.
