About Ramsey Lake State Recreation Area Rolling hills and timbered shoreline around Ramsey Lake, on ground once known as the Old Fox Chase Grounds for the hunters who used it. Bought for a lake site in 1947 and grown since, it is a Fayette County spot for fishing, hiking and camping.
