About Sam Houston Jones State Park

Tree-filled lagoons wind through 1,087 acres of mixed pine and hardwood kept deliberately wild, so wildlife is never far off. Named for a Louisiana governor, the park offers paddling, fishing and biking by day and campsites and cabins by night.
