About Fort Churchill State Historic Park & Buckland Station

The ruins of an 1860 army post that guarded emigrants, the Pony Express and the telegraph line, preserved in arrested decay beside the Carson River. The park also takes in the restored Buckland Station, an Overland Route way stop, with camping and canoeing close by.
