About Ice Age Fossils State Park

315 acres of the upper Las Vegas Wash, where Pleistocene sediments hold fossils of Columbian mammoths, American lions, camels and dire wolves. The site drew the 1962-63 "Big Dig", and trails now cross the ground it uncovered.
