About Wild Horse State Recreation Area

A remote northeastern Nevada reservoir holding rainbow and German brown trout, smallmouth bass, yellow perch and catfish. Wildflowers blanket the park in spring, and the lake freezes hard enough for ice fishing and skating in winter.
