About Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park

A shifting sea of coral-pink sand, funnelled into dunes by wind accelerating through the notch between the Moquith and Moccasin mountains. The sand comes from Middle Jurassic Navajo sandstone, and the dunes move as much as 50 feet a year.
