Painted Rocks Boat Ramp: Closed — The Painted Rocks Boat Ramp is currently closed due to low water levels.
A reservoir built between 1902 and 1917 by local farmers and ranchers who had to raise the dam themselves or lose their water rights — they called it the U.B. Dam, and the name wore down to Yuba. Sandy beaches, boating and fishing follow the water level.
