About First Landing State Park

Where English colonists came ashore in 1607, now Virginia's most-visited state park, with 20 miles of trails through cypress swamp and 1.5 miles of Chesapeake Bay beach. It was built in part by an all-African-American Civilian Conservation Corps between 1933 and 1940.
