Posted Jun 26, 2026 - Due to low water levels, Boyd Lake is closed to boating for the rest of 2026. Hand-launched vessels - such as kayaks & paddleboards - & swimming are still allowed. See Closures for more information. Larimer County Fire Ban Posted May 12, 2026 - There is a fire ban due to dry conditions & elevated fire danger. Please review the banned & allowed activities to help prevent wildfires. Violations may result in citations. Marina Closure Posted Feb 19, 2026 - Boyd Lake Marina is closed for the 2026 season due to the end of the operating contract. Due to low water levels, a new concessionaire will not be selected. There is no estimated reopening date.
Sailboats, ski boats and jet skis share this plains-edge reservoir, with snow-capped Longs Peak and the Continental Divide filling the western horizon. Camp, swim, fish or paddle a few minutes from Loveland.
