Posted Oct 9, 2024 - Effective until further notice: Open burning of any kind, use of fireworks (including professional firework displays), use of fires in chimneys, portable fireplaces and patio fire pits, campfires at developed campgrounds or picnic areas, and use of model rockets are PROHIBITED.
A steep-walled canyon cut into the Colorado prairie along Cherry Creek, preserving 2,628 acres of the Black Forest region with panoramic Front Range and Pikes Peak views. Twelve miles of trail lead hikers and climbers through it.
