About Anderson Lake State Fish & Wildlife Area A 1,134-acre floodplain lake fed by Illinois River overflow, ringed by bottomland silver maple, cottonwood and willow. Anglers and waterfowl hunters come for the water; winter brings bald eagles and spring brings migrating white pelicans.
