About Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site

A Bayou Teche site that tells of the Acadians, Creoles, Africans and others whose cultures met here, immortalized by Longfellow's 1847 poem Evangeline. Tour the grounds and trace the story of the Acadian exile that made the region famous.
