The only preserved Civil War battlefield in the South Carolina park system, where Confederate troops made one of the last stands against Sherman's sweep across the South. The earthen fortifications are original and still intact, on 390 acres between the Salkehatchie River and Three Mile Creek.

Free entry — Park admission is free. Saturday tours are $5 for adults, $2.50 for SC Seniors, disabled and military. Children under six and anyone wearing an Ultimate Outsider shirt are free.
