Virginia State Park
Virginia's first blueway park, still under development, with the Sugar Hill Unit open for 8 miles of hiking trails and two miles of river frontage. Four day-use launches put paddlers on the Clinch River itself.
$5 per vehicle
Trails on the Sugar Hill Unit and day use boat launches at Artrip, Carbo, Old Castlewood and Retch are open to the public from 6 a.m. to dusk daily. Office hours at the UVA Wise Oxbow Center are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. then 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.
