About Southwest Virginia Museum

An 1890s Victorian stone mansion, now a National Historic Landmark, holding more than 60,000 pieces on the region's pioneer and mining-boom past. The Poplar Hill Cottage takes overnight guests, and two floors are step-free.

$5 per adult (13+) — Per-person admission: ages 6-12 $3, age 13 and up $5. Group and annual rates available; parking is free.

Hours

Park is closed in January and February. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the park is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m.-5 p.m., the rest of the year, the hours are Tuesday- Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. The park is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days.
