North Carolina State Park
Coastal wetlands along the Pamlico River and a cypress swamp seen from a long boardwalk. Remnant boat piers, a trackless railroad bed, and burnt tar kilns recall the lumber industry that was once the center of life here.
Free entry — There are no fees required to access Goose Creek State Park for day use. Fees are charged for camping, certain event permits, and facility reservations.
