About Cliffs of the Neuse State Park

Bluffs 90 feet over the Neuse River, their faces banded with sand, clay, seashells, shale, and gravel. An 11-acre lake adds swimming and boat rentals to the quiet creeks that once ran moonshine stills and cornmeal mills.

Free entry — There are no fees required to access Cliffs of the Neuse State Park for day use, except for boat rentals and swim passes. Fees are also charged for camping, certain event permits, and facility reservations.

Hours

January–February: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

March–April: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

May–August: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

September–October: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

November–December: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The park is open during all other holidays.

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Open Thursdays through Sundays, 1pm - 6pm.
