About Raven Rock State Park

A 150-foot crystalline outcrop above the Cape Fear River, reached by bluff trails lined with mountain laurel. Lower routes pass Lanier and Fish Traps rapids and the remains of the Northington Lock and Dam, and other accesses add bridle and bike trails.

Free entry — There are no fees required to access Raven Rock State Park for day use. Fees are charged for camping, certain event permits, and facility reservations.

Hours

January–February: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

March–April: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

May–August: 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

September–October: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

November–December: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The park is open during all other holidays.

Open daily, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
