About William B. Umstead State Park

A wooded retreat ten miles from downtown Raleigh, with an extensive hiking and multiuse trail network and three manmade lakes for fishing. Crabtree Creek holds the campground, and the historic Maple Hill Lodge offers a rustic group stay.

The park is open during all other holidays.

The tent and trailer campground is open from April 1 through October 31.
