About Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve

Longleaf pines, some of them centuries old, towering over wiregrass in a remnant of the forest that once covered millions of acres across the Southeast. Look for red-cockaded woodpeckers, fox squirrels, pine snakes, and the insectivorous purple pitcher plant.
