About Hampton Plantation State Historic Site

A colonial rice plantation on Wambaw Creek in the Santee Delta, interpreting slavery and rice cultivation through the mansion, the kitchen building and an unearthed dwelling foundation. The grounds are free to walk, and two trails cross pine forest and old rice fields.
