Woodford SFWA Campground and the class C campground at Marshall SFWA are closed due to Illinois River flooding. Campgrounds will re-open when the waters recede. The B/E campground at Marshall will remain open.
A 2,900-acre site along the Illinois River, 2,462 acres of it water, where artesian wells keep the man-made channels fishable in winter. Great blue herons work the backwaters and bald eagles perch above the frozen lakes.
